Ed graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Studies there included cost accounting, work measurement, and capital equipment replacement, among other topics.
Mr. Ginn is a Registered Professional Industrial and Systems Engineer in the state of Georgia (#5874) and the state of Florida (#15288). This requires similar rigid qualifications as a CPA or a Member of the bar.
Mr. Ginn served as Engineering Manager in two manufacturing companies and was responsible for the labor and material standards as well as variance analysis within a standard cost system.
Upon entering banking (1974) he developed one of the first cost accounting systems for data processing and technology. He employed capital equipment replacement techniques for acquisition and modernization of major software.
As a consultant, he designed, developed and installed a profitability analysis system for organization profitability, product profitability and customer profitability in over 30 banks. He has also installed every proprietary Profitability software application on the market for other clients.
He is a recognized speaker and writer in the field of cost accounting and profitability analysis.
He has forty-nine years of Cost Accounting and Profitability analysis experience in the manufacturing, retail and financial industries. This includes the development of unique Work Measurement Systems for the financial industry.
